The "draft Mitch Daniels" student movement has issued a response to the demand from the social conservative group American Principles Project to disinvite the Indiana governor from CPAC:

The most serious social concern facing America is our imminent decline into a deadbeat debtor nation. Our crisis of fiscal irresponsibility presents a survival-level threat to our country. Mitch Daniels is the family values candidate for 2012: his principal mission is curing our immoral addiction to spending our children's money. There is no American Principle that justifies blocking his speech at CPAC.
