RND and DNC Release Fundraising Totals

Ben Smith of Politico reports on the RNC and the DNC fundraising totals:

The April numbers give the DNC the edge. On one hand, you'd expect the party in power to have a large, perhaps larger, fundraising take. On the other, the RNC does traditionally raise more money.
The figures from the end of April:
DNC Contributions: 9,659,397.38
RNC Contributions: 6,855,756.07

DNC Cash on Hand: 15,128,360.57
RNC Cash on Hand: 12,492,876.69

DNC Spending: 10,052,583.76
RNC Spending: 5,738,571.28

DNC Debt: $2.7 million
RNC Debt: None
