Newt Gingrich's campaign infrastructure might have been much vaunted in the run up to his presidential campaign announcement this afternoon, but it appears to hobbling at the moment.

Gingrich tweeted to his 1.3 million twitter followers at 4:19pm  that "Today I am announcing my candidacy for President of the United States. You can watch my announcement here." The URL that was posted along with this announcment was still not working twenty-five minutes later.

It seems also that a post on his website that was supposed to be the place for his announcement is stuck in a draft, with text designating where things should be when they went live.

Update: 4:49pm - Things getting worse.

Update: 5:10 - Gingrich's announcement page is fixed. But, one would bet, not before a lot of people clicked on his tweet, posted nearly an hour ago!
