Gross: The Real Story Behind the "Peace" Convoy

In his latest Mideast Dispatch, Tom Gross collects videos of Israeli soldiers being attacked by the "peace activists" on the Gaza-bound flotilla and reviews the world's overreaction to the incident.

Israeli naval patrol boats intercepted eight blockade-running vessels overnight. The boarding turned violent on one of the boats, when pro-Hamas activists attacked the Israelis with long metal bars, knives and hammers. Some reportedly managed to seize weapons from the Israeli sailors and turned on them with live fire prompting Israel to open fire in response.

On a personal note, to state the obvious, any loss of life including those who lost their lives last night, is deeply regrettable, but it is important to be properly informed of the context in which this incident occurred in order to decide where the blame ultimately lies.
