GOP Projected to Win House

Republicans roared toward a sweeping electoral victory Tuesday, wresting control of the House and picking up seats in the Senate, NBC News projected.
"The American people realized they retain the power to change the government when it wouldn't listen to them," Cornyn told cheering supporters in Washington at the headquarters of the Republican National Committee.
Michael Steele, chairman of the RNC, thanked the thousands of party volunteers who went door to door and manned phone banks for "helping us to pull this elephant across the line."
