FrumForum's First Blogger Paintball Tournament

The first FF paintball tournament ended in a decisive victory for the Foundation for the Defense of Democracies.

The first FrumForum invitational paintball tournament ended in a decisive victory for the Foundation for the Defense of Democracies (ably assisted by ringers Nathaniel Frum and FF contributor John Guardiano).

FDD's Mark Dubowitz must be mentioned in despatches for his audacity and speed. FDD amply deserves the handsome trophy seen presented below. I tweeted this morning that the tournament winner would set the future direction of the conservative movement: looks like that future will be foreign policy heavy.

Special mention must be made of FF managing editor Meghashyam Mali who - despite ill health - served as a "stone wall" for the FF forces defending ground with heroic disregard of personal safety.

Special non-positive mention to The New Republic and Weekly Standard teams, both of whom bagged at the very last minute with super-lame excuses (actually in the case of the Weekly Standard team, no excuse at all).  I wrote to the Weekly Standard people: "To think of all the years I spent defending you against the chickenhawk slur!" As for TNR, in paintball as in Iraq, the liberal hawks are all gung ho until the fighting starts, then cut and run. Let's see if they step up more determinedly next year.
