Reports that Maria Ceno is considering a bid for RNC Chair might have been surprising to some, but not to FrumForum readers.

On Friday at 2PM, FrumForum reported that Maria Cino was close to jumping into the race for RNC Chair:

A Republican source close to Maria Cino’s thinking tells FrumForum that she is 'strongly considering' announcing her bid for RNC Chair 'shortly after Thanksgiving'.

'I can confirm that she’s giving it serious consideration and has begun calling some members, and she’s trying to do this the right way and be thoughtful in her approach,' said one Republican source.

FrumForum quoted District of Columbia National Committeeman Tony Parker and Delaware National Committeewoman, Priscilla Rakestraw, who said they had both talked to Cino about a potential bid:

'I think it’s pretty likely [that she will run],' Delaware National Committeewoman Priscilla Rakestraw told FrumForum.

Four hours later, the Daily Caller and ABC News confirmed the news, reporting that Maria Cino was contemplating a bid for RNC Chair.
