Williams: NPR Was "Vindictive" over Fox Appearances

Politico reports:

Juan Williams said Friday morning that NPR fired him this week because the radio network had become “vindictive” over his appearances on Fox News.

“I knew about their antagonism toward Fox. I knew they didn't like it,” Williams said on ABC’s “Good Morning America.”

“NPR, and especially this last group of managers, became vindictive [and,] as you can see, personal in terms of their antagonism toward me,” he said.

Williams has been on a full media tour since NPR fired him Wednesday night for his comments on Fox News about Muslims. Williams is scheduled to fill in for Bill O'Reilly Friday night, the same program where on Monday he said he gets "nervous" whenever he sees someone in "Muslim garb" boarding a plane.
