Why Did Paul Snub Rossi?

Today, Ron Paul endorsed Tea Party favorite Clint Didier in the Washington GOP Senate primary despite never even meeting Republican frontrunner Dino Rossi.

Ron Paul endorsed Tea Party favorite Clint Didier today in the Washington GOP Senate primary. Mr. Didier must have really done a number wooing Mr. Paul, because Ron Paul never even met the Republican frontrunner in the race, Dino Rossi. In fact, the two never even spoke on the phone.

Liberty Fund spokesperson Jesse Benton told me that “No, Mr. Paul never met with Dino Rossi or spoke to him.” Benton explained that Paul did not need to meet the frontrunner. “It isn't necessarily something negative about Dino Rossi. It's simply that Congressman Paul was very impressed with Mr. Didier. Clint Didier filled out our survey and Congressman Paul thought the responses suggested that Clint Didier was a candidate worth endorsing and after Mr. Didier and Congressman Paul met in person, Congressman Paul decided to endorse Clint Didier,” said Benton.

Clint Didier has been endorsed by Sarah Palin, and is one of the beneficiaries of this crazy ad.
