Thune: Iowa Caucus Caters to "My Style"

Politico reports:

Sen. John Thune believes that campaigning for the Republican nomination in Iowa would cater to his “style, ” even if he hasn’t decided to run.

The South Dakota Republican told the Rapid City Journal on Monday that he does not expect to make his formal decision until “sometime next year.”

“If I decided I was serious about that, I’d be looking at a winter-spring time frame, ” he said.

Thune, though, showed no hesitation in boasting of his retail political skills, which tend to be an integral part of any strong showing at the Iowa caucus.

“I think you could run more of a retail campaign there, which is more my style, anyway,” he said. “I try not to get ahead of myself in talking about it. But if you were to game something out, that would be a big part of it.”
