If the decision to release the Lockerbie bomber was made in London, not Scotland, when did the Obama administration first learn of it and what did it say? We are very far as yet from knowing the full truth of this story.

If the decision to release the Lockerbie bomber was made in London, not Scotland, when did the Obama administration first learn of it and what did it say? We are very far as yet from knowing the full truth of this story. Note by the way that White House spokesman Robert Gibbs has condemned the Libyan reception of the bomber as "disgraceful" - but has had no such hard words for the real disgrace, the decision to release. Why not?
