A new Rasmussen poll shows support for Rand Paul plunging.

Paul is plunging in Rasmussen's polls:

A new Rasmussen poll has Mr. Paul leading Jack Conway by only 8 percentage points.

Conway is viewed favorably by 47 percent and unfavorably by 43 percent, marking virtually no change from two weeks ago. 11 percent have no opinion of the Democrat.

Fifty-seven percent of Kentucky voters now have a favorable opinion of Paul, down from 69 percent in the previous survey. 38 percent view him unfavorably, and 5 percent have no opinion.

Seventy-three percent of Kentucky voters say they have followed news reports about Mr. Paul’s comments on MSNBC, including 39 percent who have followed very closely.

That is down from his lead of 25 points.

The latest Rasmussen poll found the GOP nominee with support from 49 percent of the state’s voters while Mr. Conway earns 41 percent of the vote.
