Running Down the Road

Everybody wants to be a hometown hero. I was interviewed this month by Quinte & County Living, the lifestyle magazine of Prince Edward County, Ontario, where my wife and I and my kids have been spending summers since 1988. After almost 20 years of schnorring off my in-laws, this year Danielle & I at last completed work on a house of our own. Which--plus another 100 years--would almost qualify us as locals.

The magazine put to me 15 questions based on the format popularized on the back page of Vanity Fair magazine. Some of the answers will alas be unintelligible to people unfamiliar with the area ... Which by the way is located almost 1000 miles west from that other Canadian Prince Edward, where Anne of Green Gables had her home.
