Protesters Interrupt House Budget Debate

The Hill reports:

Protesters in the House gallery interrupted members eight times during closing debate on the FY 2012 budget resolution, closing out a hectic day as the House tried to pass a FY 2012 budget resolution.

Several protesters interrupted by singing "The Star Spangled Banner, " and Capitol police appeared to arrest some who had caused the disturbances.

The protesters interrupted Democrats and Republicans alike.

Protesters interrupted once as House Majority Whip Kevin McCarthy (R-Calif.) spoke, six times as House Budget Committee Ranking Member Chris Van Hollen (D-Md.) spoke, and once while Rep. Jeb Hensarling (R-Texas) was speaking.
