Parents Turn In Son For BC Looting
Shocked parents who saw a picture of their son looting the high-fashion Louis Vuitton store decided to drive their boy to the police station.
They handed in the 17-year-old after they saw a picture of him on the Internet. He was apparently pictured helping himself at the store located at the corner of Georgia and Howe Streets during the post-game riots.
Cpl. Rick Skolrood said the youth was also identified as one of those who participated in the trashing of a Vancouver Police cruiser.
“A male, who can not be identified due to his age, was arrested by RCMP Thursday after turning himself into police. He was brought to the RCMP Detachment in Burnaby by a family member after images of him looting during the Game 7 Riot appeared on theinternet,” said the cop.
“Police are recommending charges relating to the looting of a Louis Vuitton store at the corner of Howe Street and Georgia in Vancouver, and the destruction of a Vancouver Police vehicle which was flipped upside down during the rioting.”
