Palin Takes Parting Shot at Couric
Former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin (R) made it clear Tuesday night there is no love lost between her and soon-to-be-former "CBS Evening News" anchor Katie Couric.
The 2008 GOP vice presidential nominee scoffed when asked about the anchor's departure from the position she held for over four years. Couric conducted a wide-ranging, tough interview with Palin during the 2008 presidential campaign, for which she later criticized the anchor.
"Yeah, I think I read that in a newspaper, one of many newspapers that I read … online," Palin said during an interview on Fox News.
Palin referenced a well-known portion of the interview, during which Couric put her on the spot about her favored publications.
When Couric asked what newspapers or magazines Palin reads, the nominee answered, "I've read most of them, again with a great appreciation for the press, for the media."
