Temper, Temper

I shouldn't have let myself be irked by Ben Shapiro. I usually shrug off negative personal remarks, and I should have maintained that policy here.

I shouldn't have let myself be irked by the below. I usually shrug off negative personal remarks, and I should have maintained that policy here.

Fledgling opinionizer Ben Shapiro calls me “supremely idiotic” at Frontpage.com and warns I am plunging into the "abyss of moral relativism."

Was it less than 60 days ago that young Ben asked for the "honor and pleasure" of a discussion of his new book on the FrumForum site? Why yes it was.

Subject: From Ben Shapiro (nationally syndicated columnist)

Date: May 9, 2011 10:35:42 PM EDT

David,

My name is Ben Shapiro, and I'm a nationally syndicated columnist with Creators Syndicate, as well as VP of Talk Radio Network (syndicator of Savage and Ingraham) as my day job.  I'm also a fellow HLS guy.  I hope you're doing well!

Two questions:

(1) Is there any chance I can get you on my Orlando, FL radio show to discuss the 2012 race? We can pre-record anytime during the week.

(2) I have a new book coming out with Harper Collins, titled "Primetime Propaganda: The True Hollywood Story of How The Left Took Over Your TV" (May 31).  It will be all over the TV news channels (Fox, CNN, MSNBC), HBO, etc. as well as the major conservative sites. In writing the book, I interviewed 50-75 of the biggest names in Hollywood over the past 50 years discussing the business, how it became liberal, and how and why discrimination against conservatives has become ubiquitous in the industry.  It would be an honor and a pleasure if you'd consider discussing the book on your website.  I'd love to send you an advance copy -- what's the best address?

Thanks!

Sorry I couldn't oblige you, Ben.
