Kaine Launches VA Senate Bid

The Hill reports:

Democratic National Committee Chairman Tim Kaine launched Tuesday his campaign for Senate.

Kaine, in a video recounting his previous work in Virginia, principally as governor, said what had long been suspected: that he'd run to succeed retiring Sen. Jim Webb (D-Va.).

"I'm running for the United States Senate because America has big challenges, and I'm convinced that Virginia has answers to help strengthen our nation," Kaine said in the video.
