Huntsman Fundraising In NY And Utah
Politico reports:
Jon Huntsman hasn't made clear whether he'll file second-quarter fundraising reports - because of his late declaration date, he doesn't have to - but he's doing his best to boost his cash tally.
He'll be back in New York with at least two fundraisers on Thursday, the last day of the second quarter, on the Upper East Side, according to the invitations, obtained by POLITICO.
In the evening, he'll be part of an "exchange of ideas" at the home of Yonina and Mitchell Davidson, who are co-hosting the event with Doris and Jack Bistricer.
Bistricer is the head of Talisker Corp., a real-estate company that has holdings in Utah, where Huntsman is governor.
But it's Yonina Davidson who can open a world of New York money.
She is one of the daughters of billionaire Ira Rennert, who bought the apartment - once owned by designer Vera Wang - a few years ago for a tidy sum of about $30 million. Rennert owns one of the country's largest homes, on Long Island.
Earlier in the day, Huntsman will attend a luncheon on Fifth Avenue benefiting his campaign.
