Huffman Endorsed by Oregon Farm Bureau
Jim Huffman, the Republican senate candidate in Oregon, has won the endorsement of the non-partisan Oregon Farm Bureau:
Portland, Ore - Jim Huffman has received the endorsement of the Oregon Farm Bureau (“OFB”) in his bid to become Oregon’s next U.S. Senator.
The OFB is the largest Non-Partisan agricultural advocacy group in Oregon. The organization is a non-profit, voluntary, group that represents the public policy interests of Oregon’s farmers and ranchers.
In a statement issued by the OFB President, Barry Bushue, Huffman was recognized as having proved that he understands “the issues important to agriculture,” and has “committed to get good results for Oregon’s family farmers and ranchers and rural communities.”
“Given our State’s rich heritage of agriculture and natural resources based industries, I am honored and humbled to receive the Oregon Farm Bureau’s endorsement of my candidacy,” said Huffman. “Agriculture, timber, mining and fishing may never dominate the state’s economy again, but those industries can and should be doing much better than they are” he added.
The OFB is organized in all 36 Oregon counties and has more than 8,000 member families that are professionally engaged in agriculture.
Jim Huffman is the Republican Nominee for U.S. Senate. He is a professor of law at Lewis & Clark Law School where he served as dean for 13 years. Huffman lives in SW Portland with his wife, Leslie, and three school aged children.
