Health Repeal Vote Set for Next Week
The House will vote next week on a bill to repeal the healthcare reform law, a spokeswoman for Majority Leader Eric Cantor (R-Va.) confirmed Thursday afternoon.
The new Republican majority had scheduled a vote for yesterday, but it was delayed after the shooting tragedy in Arizona over the weekend.
A Cantor spokeswoman confirmed the vote Thursday afternoon.
“As the White House noted, it is important for Congress to get back to work, and to that end we will resume thoughtful consideration of the healthcare bill next week,” said Cantor spokeswoman Laena Fallon.
