Graham, McCain on Iraq Visit
Two of the three amigos of the Senate are on the road again, this time to Iraq.
Republican Sens. John McCain (Ariz.) and Lindsey Graham (S.C.) arrived in Iraq on Sunday for a two-day trip to Eribil, Kirkuk and Baghdad, McCain spokeswoman Brooke Buchanan, who is traveling with the senators, confirmed to Politico.
Buchanan said she planned to release more details of the trip, which was not officially announced by either senator’s office, but about which McCain has tweeted. Graham’s office did not immediately respond to a request for information about the trip.
McCain said Sunday on Twitter that he had just landed in Baghdad, posting a photo with the Marshall Tucker Band, a southern rock group there to perform for the troops.
