Goolsbee Will Chair Council of Economic Advisers
Politico reports:
ECONOMIC ADVISER: President Obama will name Austan Goolsbee the new chairman of the White House Council of Economic Advisers on Friday, a senior administration official said. Goolsbee, a member of the panel, is a longtime economic adviser to Obama and help shape the president's campaign message on the economy. Goolsbee will replace Christina Romer, who stepped down last week to return to teaching at the University of California at Berkeley.
