As Noah Kristula-Green blogged earlier today, we've launched a site redesign today. The intent is to give more space and prominence to our cherished contributors. We've deleted the links to off-site news stories and will be replacing them in the coming days with a Twitter feed that brings news to reader attention faster. For breaking stories, Twitter is today what the blog was a decade ago.

There are and will be some kinks and bugs as we develop the new look. We're working to upgrade and improve. And we very much value all comments and suggestions. We'd like to hear your views about to make the site more interesting and useful to readers - and advance the important conversation begun here 2 1/2 years ago about how to reform and modernize the Republican party, a discussion never more relevant than today, as the United States trembles on the verge of default and financial crisis.
