Former Aide Disses Bachmann

Politico reports:

A former top adviser to Michele Bachmann says she’s got no chance of winning the White House and, if she did win, she wouldn’t be “ready” to do the job.

Ron Carey, who spent five months as Bachmann’s chief of staff last year before resigning and is also a former state GOP chair, said that his personal experiences with the Minnesota Republican give him little confidence that she could be victorious in a presidential race, let alone govern effectively.

"While she passes the conservative test, my opinion from my association with her is she's not going to be an electable candidate for us," he said in an interview with the Associated Press. "And even if she were elected I don't believe she would be ready for the position of the president of the United States.”
