FLOTUS Defends Super Bowl Menu
Even though she has been campaigning against childhood obesity for a year now, Michelle Obama defended the decision to serve bratwurst, cheeseburgers and deep dish pizza at the White House Super Bowl party over the weekend.
"I think I've always been very consistent on that front because that's how I live my life," the first lady said at a lunch with reporters on Tuesday. "It's about balance. It's always about balance."
She said it's "not realistic" to just eat healthy food all the time — especially on Super Bowl Sunday.
"I don't even know what you'd have other than some hot dogs and some burgers for a Super Bowl party,” the first lady said, noting that she uses the same everything-in-moderation approach in feeding her own children.
