DeMint Raises Money for Angle

Sen. Jim DeMint has come to Sharron Angle's assistance with fund-raising:

South Carolina Sen. Jim DeMint has thrown his political operation into gear on behalf of Nevada Senate candidate Sharron Angle, bundling money for her and laying out cash through his PAC in the week after Angle won the GOP nomination to challenge Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid.

DeMint has already raised more than $60,000 for Angle and his Senate Conservatives Fund PAC has spent $54,680 in independent expenditures this week, largely to purchase an e-mail list for the campaign.

DeMint, who has backed a number of conservative insurgents in Senate primaries, favored Angle and real estate developer Danny Tarkanian in the Nevada race, but didn't endorse a candidate.
