Daniels Writing Campaign(?) Book
Mitch Daniels has signed a book deal, becoming the latest potential 2012er to go the author route.
But he insists it has nothing to with a possible presidential run.
"There's nothing I can say except 'not so,'" Daniels said Monday in an interview with the Associated Press. "The idea of writing a book came together well before anybody suggested to me that I was a candidate for anything. I can't keep people from leaping to that conclusion, but they'd be wrong."
The Indiana governor, who's been touted by Republican elites and others as a strong contender in the 2012 field, has signed with Sentinal, an imprint of Penguin Group. The AP said the working title is "Keeping the Republic: Limited Government, Unlimited Citizens," and it's due in September.
The publishing house is saying it will discuss "America's urgent need for limited but more effective government, fiscal discipline at all levels, increased liberty for individuals, and a restoration of our national greatness."
