Dale Peterson Loses Race for Agriculture Commissioner

Despite having a very popular web ad, Dale Peterson has lost his bid to be Alabama's agriculture commissioner:

Commissioner for agriculture and industries GOP candidate Dale Peterson's Internet popularity did not translate into votes in Tuesday's primary election.

Peterson's campaign ad, "We are Better Than That," brought an onslaught of media attention to the candidate and the state.

The campaign ad showed the candidate mounting a horse and brandishing a rifle has received more than 1.2 million views on Youtube.
