Cornyn: All GOP Senate Seats Safe

The Wall Street Journal reports:

The head of the Republicans’ Senate campaign said that no seat his party now controls is in danger in this year’s election, leaving the GOP to solely go on the offense in the last month of the campaign.

“All of our currently held Republican seats are safe seats, and we are playing offense, ” Sen. John Cornyn of Texas, head of the National Republican Senatorial Committee, said in an interview on WSJ.com’s “Campaign Journal.”

Republicans are defending 18 seats in this year’s voting, while Democrats are defending 19 seats. If the GOP can turn 10 of those Democratic seats their way, they would take control of the Senate, which would send a shock wave through Washington.
