Clinton to Campaign for Rahm Emanuel
The Wall Street Journal reports:
Former President Bill Clinton will stump for Rahm Emanuel in the latter’s bid to become mayor of Chicago.
Mr. Emanuel, most recently chief of staff to President Barack Obama, also served in Mr. Clinton’s White House from 1993 to 1998 as senior adviser for policy and strategy among other posts.
The support from Mr. Clinton, reported by Politico and confirmed to Washington Wire by a person familiar with the matter, comes after a victory this past week for Mr. Emanuel. The city’s election commission decided that he met the residency requirement to run for mayor, despite spending two years in the Obama White House.
