Clinton To Push Human Rights on 4-Day Europe Trip
The Associated Press reports:
Secretary of State Hillary Rodham Clinton has begun a four-day trip to Europe to support international human rights and democracy.
Clinton is en route to Hungary, where she'll inaugurate a human rights center named after the late California Rep. Tom Lantos. The Hungarian-born Lantos founded Congress' Human Rights Caucus. The institute honoring him in Budapest will aim to support minorities in Europe and elsewhere.
Clinton will travel to Lithuania on Thursday for a meeting of the "Community of Democracies." Participants from dozens of countries will discuss ways to advance women in politics and business, and combat human trafficking and violence against women.
Lastly, Clinton will visit Spain. There, she'll meet with President Jose Luis Rodriguez Zapatero and other senior officials.
