Did Bush Senior Back the War?

Surprisingly, none of the early stories of the Bush memoirs notice one of its major revelations: a note from George HW Bush seeming to endorse the Iraq war.

I'm surprised that none of the early stories of the Bush memoirs noticed one of the book's few major revelations: a note from President George HW Bush on p. 225 endorsing (or at least seeming to endorse) the Iraq war.

Dear George:
Your handwritten note, just received, touched my heart. You are doing the right thing. Your decision, just made, is the toughest decision you've had to make up until now.
