Bloomberg to Address House GOP
The Hill reports:
New York Mayor Michael Bloomberg is scheduled to address House Republicans on Thursday, according to an invitation obtained by The Hill.
The mayor, a Republican-turned-Independent who is considered a presidential contender, will speak at the weekly House GOP Theme Team meeting on Thursday morning.
The invitation to Bloomberg comes even though he has endorsed several Democrats in this year’s mid-term elections.
Bloomberg, who has presented himself as a centrist willing to work with both parties, recently hosted a fundraiser for Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid (D-Nev.), the number one target for Republicans this fall.
