POLITICO reports:

Rep. Michele Bachmann is set to kick off her presidential campaign next week with stops in Iowa, New Hampshire and South Carolina, her campaign announced Wednesday.

The three-term Minnesota congresswoman announced her candidacy at last week’s Republican presidential debate, but her Monday morning event in Waterloo, Iowa, is being billed as the “campaign announcement.”

That event is set for 9 a.m. at the Snowden House, a 130-year-old historic mansion. Bachmann was born in Waterloo and lived in Iowa until she was 13, when she moved to Minnesota.

On Tuesday, it’s on to New Hampshire, where Bachmann is scheduled to hold an early-morning backyard chat at a private home near Manchester.

That evening, she’ll be in Myrtle Beach, S.C., to meet and greet supporters at a restaurant.
