As Norway's Elections Go, So Goes the Peace Prize

A funny thing could happen in the years to come if Siv Jensen's Progress party, which has been critical of Obama's Nobel award, finally gets a majority in the Norwegian parliament. If that party gets to appoint the Norwegian Nobel Prize committee, W or Bibi stand a chance.

One short note: a funny thing could happen in the years to come if Siv Jensen's Progress party finally gets a majority in the Norwegian parliament. Jensen is unsurprisingly critical of the committee's choice. The Progress Party now controls 41 seats of a total of 169, up from 26 seats in 2001 and 38 in 2005, and is still part of the opposition. If that party gets to appoint the Norwegian Nobel Prize committee, W or Bibi stand a chance and, more importantly, the complete vacuity of the Nobel Peace Prize will at least become apparent to the left.
